About me

Born in Darmstadt, Germany, raised in Croatia, my life and professional journey led me to specialize in otorhinolaryngology and the care of the nose, sinuses, and skull base.

As a father of three wonderful children, I am constantly reminded of the importance of curiosity, learning, and patience—skills that are just as valuable in my work with patients. Our family life is filled with adventures in nature, where we explore, relax, and spend precious time together, accompanied by our cheerful dog, who never fails to make us laugh with his mischief.

My Approach to Patient Care

My approach is based on expertise and compassionate care—whether it’s a routine examination or a complex surgery, every patient deserves individual attention and the best possible outcome.

I graduated from the University of Zagreb School of Medicine, where I also completed my specialization in otorhinolaryngology and head and neck surgery. Over the course of my career, I pursued a subspecialization in plastic and reconstructive surgery of the head and neck, further refining my skills in prestigious centers across the United States and Europe. In 2023, I was awarded the title of Primarius, a recognition of my dedication and excellence in the field.

As the Head of the Rhinology Department at KBC Zagreb, I had the opportunity to implement cutting-edge techniques in the surgical treatment of the nose, sinuses, and skull base.

International Experience and Collaboration

Throughout my career, I have worked with leading experts worldwide through fellowships and symposiums in the United States, the United Kingdom, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Iran, Austria, Germany, Slovenia, and Italy. I had the privilege of collaborating with Prof. Carl Snyderman at the UPMC Cranial Base Center in Pittsburgh and Prof. Claire Hopkins at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London.

I have also led courses and symposia on rhinology and skull base surgery in partnership with the American Austrian Foundation and the European Skull Base Society.

My Mission

My goal is to provide precise, compassionate, and personalized care for every patient. I strive not only to achieve excellent medical results but also to ensure long-term patient satisfaction. My focus is on functional restoration of the airways and aesthetic harmony, offering a comprehensive approach aimed at improving quality of life.
